P7. For the past 8 weeks and the next 2 more weeks I have been playing saturday netball. I play GA in a D team but my team is coming first in the B grade now. We were coming 6th in the A grade but the head of netball said that netball teams can't skip more than 3 grades and we skipped 4 so we have to stay in the b grade. The other day at training my coach told our team that the coach for junior a's of Tauranga Girls Collage, and the coach for the under 19's and under 21's netball reps heard about our team and that she was going to come down to watch us on Saturday so she knows whats coming in for next year. And we are on the front of the school's newsletter because Miss Hampton the sports lady heard that we do 10 hours of training a week in the holidays and 4 hours a week on the week days and then on Saturdays we have to go to our netball game a hour early so we can warm up.
My team has been a tournament this year and we came 1st out of about 10 teams. We had 6 games we won all of them. All of our scores were very far apart like our highest score was 63-5 and out lowest was 45-6. On our 4th game one of our team mates got elbowed in the mouth and then we had to stop the game because our coach was arguing with the team that we were versing and when we were about to leave the coach said that next time if we are winning by a lot we had to take it down a bit so they would get goals and then my team mate that got elbowed in the mouth her mum had a very big argument with the coach but unfortunately the referee didn't do anything about it so we had to go on like nothing never happened.
Photos to come...
Good thorough post, Kayla. Your team is doing so well. Sounds like you have an amazing coach and that you are a very committed player. I look forward to seeing some of your photos. Good luck for the rest of the season.
